How to fill out this form?

• To fill out a modem-type listet in the menu - including a firmware-version listet in the general Overview
  • simply fill out the form
  • if you don't want to say something to one point, leave it out (for example: you never used autodetection with VOICE - then don't choose a value at autodetection VOICE).
  • the comment is optional, your name and Email-address will only be needed for the comments.

• To fill out a modem-type not listed in the menu / a firmware-version not listet in the general Overview
  • start with entering an AT-Command-Set for this modem.
  • as type enter 2 strings, seperatet with whitespace, for example: "usrobotix Sportstervoice". The first string should be the vendor, the second one additional specifications.
  • go back to the general form an go on as if it were listet in the menu (you have to enter the exact name and firmware again)

• To fill out a new modem-type without entering an AT-Command-Set
  • Start with the AT-Comman-Set, but don't fill out the textarea for the AT-Command-Set.
  • go back to the normal Form and fill it out
  • problems: the next one, who will enter the proper AT-Command-Set will get an error-message (I'll have to enter the datas manually)

• To fill out only a part of the form - just do it! Unnamed points won't be counted.

What can cause error-Messages?

• Errormessage: could not find AT-Command-Set for this...
  this means you have to enter an AT-Command-Set for this firmware/modemtype before (Or you misstyped something)

What to enter into the field for AT-Command-Set?

• In your mgetty+sendfax-Package (version 1.1.17 or higher) you will find a command named mid

  mgetty/tools/mid ttySx
  

  where ttySx is the tty with a connected modem. or:

  mgetty/tools/mid -M emailaddresse ttySx
  

  The result wil be mailed to emailadresse.

• To enter this result in the form, please remove the first line from your output - which looks something like this:

  testing for modem on /dev/ttyS1 with 38400 bps...
  

• and enter the rest into the textarea - the result should look like:
